Sounion
We had full use of the meltemi to get over from Aigina. The waves were well formed, and the wind was pretty consistent, mainly in the 20-30knot range. Managed nicely with just the Genoa out.
Arrived late afternoon, and plan to go ashore tomorrow, when in theory, the wind will have dropped, and we can leave the boat safely.
Last night we were in Marathonas (fortunately didn't have to run one!) on Aigina. The yacht next to us "Morning Star" looked pretty good in daylight too.
And now we have moved on again, and are now in Ag. Nikolaos on the island of Kea. The sail across was a "motor sail" with the sail adding about 1 knot of speed to the engine.
We met 3 young lads from London who were on a small boat, they said that they had trouble with big waves - not surprising. They left the anchorage while we were up at the temple. It really is impressive that they have sailed the boat all the way from England. They plan to make it as far as Samos. We took a photo as they were heading out, yes, it's the small boat in the foreground.
Also impressive in a different way was the temple. It replaced an earlier structure, and was enclosed in a fortification. Dedicated to Posidon (you have to admire the Greek spelling) there is also a nearby temple to Athena, of which a lot less is still standing.
One noticeable feature of Posidon's temple was the graffiti, so I have added a couple of photos of that too.

Australians at Trogir
Michael, Lisa, Suzanne and David.
Michael manged to increase our vocabulary, due to a misunderstanding, which happily was buried later in a pile of beer bottles.
Monastery on Scedro, now deserted
Pelisjac, or the "half-island". Wine is grown here, but we were mad enough to hike to the top
Frog pool on Miljet
Lokrum - he's obviously just come from the nudist beach

Visitors that kept popping back
Photos from Aigina
The temple is Afia's (aphaia's) temple in the North East of the island. Most people get there by coach, but on this occasion we can be virtuous and say we cycled up, we might also say "never again" because it was b. hot.
There are also pictures of our re-launch, it was tight, but nothing like as much "fun" as when we came in with a strong cross wind!
